Some things you may want to say:

• State-owned properties are important to our community for many reasons. These properties should not be sold under a highly flawed fast-track auction system.
• Please support an immediate moratorium on the auctions of state-owned land so that the Legislature will have a chance to fix the problems of Section 548. Mistakes in land reuse can last forever, and we should not rush land to auction while we are debating fixes to the system.
• Please co-sponsor legislation to repeal the land auction law,Outside Section 548.
• When making significant changes to land use laws, please hold hearings and give the public a chance to testify. Do not use “outside sections” to implement or change major policies because this bypasses important democratic processes.
