Petition to Repeal Auction Law Gathers Steam

Organizations across Massachusetts are signing a petition to Governor Romney and the Massachusetts Legislature calling for an immediate moratorium on land sales under the “flawed process” of Outside Section 548. The petition calls for the expeditious repeal of the fast-track auction law. It also asks that any further changes in the laws for disposing of public property be made only after public hearings and democratic participation from the affected communities.
