The MCH parcel contains woods, wetlands, and old fields. These are important components of the Western Greenway. |
Encroachment in wetlands has already created flooding problems for downstream residences and businesses. Impervious surfaces created by further development can make the problems worse. |
Some adjacent roads – such as Walnut Street – are narrow and winding. Residents feel that there is already too much traffic for the nearby roadway system. |
Fast traffic on nearby Concord Avenue poses an increasing safety concern. Warning signs such as this do little to resolve the problems. |
