| About us The Massachusetts Coalition for Healthy Communities (MCHC) informs and empowers Massachusetts residents to defend and strengthen the social, economic, environmental, and democratic foundations of healthy communities. We work with a diverse array of public interest groups and individuals who are advancing community-led solutions to the converging social, economic, and ecological crises. We call for urgent transformative action at the personal and policy levels to turn these multifaceted crises into a bridge to a sustainable, just future for all of us. We monitor government and legislative initiatives and conduct research into key issues of public policy and health. We advocate a holistic approach to community health that combines preventive health and universal health care with social and economic justice, good jobs, education, a clean environment and genuine people-powered democracy.
